Medicine Journeys are powerful opportunities to experience sacred spaces and power spots that amplify opportunities to connect with ourselves and with spirit.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">When we travel to other countries and cultures our everyday way of being can get turned upside down and we become open to the spirit of the place and experience the sacred journey of those who came before. In this state of openness and magic we sit against ancient temple walls, the old stone warming our backs, and we dream through the <b>Gateways to Memory</b>, to wake up and remember who we are. Every step we take each day is like taking a step up the pyramids we will explore, and so the pyramid represents the spiritual life of the soul. Each step is an honor to be earned. Of course, it is possible to step down and it is easier than going up!</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">Each step has a teaching. The first step offers that, "As you should be treated so treat others." The second step says, "Seek the spirit of truth. Never accept half-truths." And the third step tell us to "Do your own work, don't have others do your work for you." These steps speak about living in harmony with nature. In a medicine journey we seek the balance of life through following these steps with ceremony and teachings and through traveling and sharing the journey with others.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">We invite you to come through the <b>Gateways of Memory</b> and timelessness and experience the pleasure and knowledge of a medicine journey. <b>Gateways to Memory</b> extends an invitation to experience the magic of ancient temple sites, the beauty of terraced hills, exquisite pottery, weaving and sculpture, good food and good company.</font></p> <p> </p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">The journey is into the Land of the Lost Worlds, to Guatemala and the site called Tikal. We hurry from the airport and baggage carousel, on to the buses and taxis and into the hotel rooms to unpack. Hurry because at sunset you will find us on the top of the Temple called the North Acropolis, facing the setting sun, sitting at the height of the flight path of the toucans, listening to the jungle night whisper our future.
